Abstract -
Con Edison's 74th Street Steam Generating Station Demineralization plant was placed into service in September, 2010.    It includes four activated-carbon filters and three cation/anion demineralizer trains, associated regeneration equipment, waste neutralization tanks, chemical bulk storage and state-of-the-art control system.

It is capable of producing 3,540 gallons/minute of treated water using New York City municipal water as its raw water source.  This presentation includes an overview of the process steps, equipment design features, and control logic for this facility.
